Hi! I am Marie from Hamburg in Germany, and finished school in summer 2019.
In Hamburg I love to make bicycle tours and go for a walk, with friends or on my own
- to explore new places, have deep conversations and enjoy the moment alone or with someone next to me.
Often I have my camera with me to retain special moments or to experiment with places, light and people.
(I like to try something new and different)
I also relish going on concerts, poetry slams, flea market and theater in my hometown.
In the past I sang for 8 years in a choir (and I want to do it again, when I stay in one place for longer time), I did standard dancing for 2 years and I do yoga on my own for 4 years. Now I am working in a bakery until October. It is fun, but also exhausting (compared to sitting around in school).

Now after 12 years of school, I have time to focus on me. To find out, what I want to do in my life, where I want to live and what my priorities are.
For this reason and because it is my dream for more than 5 years, I will start to travel in October 2019 to New Zealand on my own. I am very excited and looking forward to this trip.

To me, Couchsurfing is a chance to meet new people, learn how they live and get a new perspective.

I don´t have an own flat at the moment, so it is impossible for me to make a couch available for you - I am sorry!
But I am confident, that it will be possible in the future! :)

My favourite artists I enjoy listen to are:

Supertramp (a mix of jazz and rock - multifarious)
Queen (genial and never boring)
The Beatles (no words needed ;) )
Katzenjammer (a band from Norway - a typ of music you will dance while you are listening)
Simon and Garfunkle (relaxing music with wonderful voices)
Ed Sheeran (but only the first songs of him)
Passenger (this is remindful of summer)
Her (perfect duo, a friend shows me the artist and I was overwhelmed)

I love reading books more than watching movies. (even though it relaxes me sometimes watching a good movie)
I don´t have specific kind of genres I read. It could be anything, for exmaple romantic and history books but I also love to read thriller and old books from writer, who died 200 years ago ;)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

There is an experience I had two years ago, whenever I think of it, I get a warm feeling in my stomach and I am not able to stop my smile.
I did in May 2017 a bicycle tour with 6 other friends from Hamburg to the Baltic Sea.
It was an unforgettable time - cycling together, listent so music, watch sunsets and sleep together in a big tent.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I could teach you in German and English, when you are interest in.
I am also not bad in cooking and baking. I might cook a German dinner for you.
But I am also interest in learning, how you cook and what your traditional and cultural food is.

I really love to do yoga, when you are interest in, we could do a yoga session together.

And when you need help, I can help you to repair something (for example your bicycle, in your house or in the garden) and when you need someone to talk with, I am a good listener.
