Hello everyone,
My name is Marie, I am from Paris (France) but for now I am doing an exchange year in Taipei (Taiwan). I have lived in Colombia, Russia and Ukraine before. I just created a couch surfing account to be able to move around in Taiwan and in my next travels (Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia). For now, I am mostly looking for hosts but when I will be back in Paris, you will be welcome to come home !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like meeting new people and I think couch surfing is a really good and trustful platform to use when you want to avoid (often expensive) hostels and meet locals ;) I also want to avoid the crowds and touristic places :) I really like cooking and discovering the food, even though I am vegetarian/vegan and it's more or less easy !

Music, Movies, and Books

I have really eclectic musical taste so I listen to a lot of various type of song (rap, old french music, jazz...). I love old taiwanese cinema (Hou-Hsiao Hsien, Edward Yang) and since I bought an e-reader I have probably read more than twenty books, including a lot of Yasmina Khadra :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Vietnam, I got scammed by fake policemans with fake car and fake uniforms, asking for my international driving licence.... it costs me 100 USD :)))
