关于我
I think you can say that I always was kind of a dreamer. I dreamed of so, so many things, for example moving to England one day or having my own, big farm of abandoned animals that I was going to give a new home (my biggest dreams when I was 12 or so). Travelling was definitely a big part of these dreams as well. I always wanted to travel to as much places as possible and see all those things that as a child I only knew from TV. So, when I was 18 years old I started travelling to European countries during my holidays but soon realized that my urge to travel wasn‘t satisfied by far. That was also why I quit my studies of veterinary medicine after 2 years and decided to go to Australia to do what I always wanted to do.
I'm a very curious person who loves having nice talks with nice people and philosophizing about life and what‘s going on in the world; there are rarely topics that I‘m not interested in. However, I have one big passion: Psychology. That is also what I‘m studying at the moment since last summer when I came back from Australia after 10 months of travelling around the country.
Nevertheless, I'm also kind of reserved and quiet sometimes. I do need a lot of time for myself, to think about everything that happens every day. So, I‘m kind of a surprise package: Sometimes I‘m loud and crazy and some days I‘m just private and silent.
I do challenge myself regularly in order to learn new things, to see the world from different perspectives and to question all those learned habits and ways of thinking that often prove wrong once you look deeper into them. I try to be spontaneous and learn how to go with my gut although that‘s mostly pretty hard for me. But thinking like this I was able to experience really great stuff, meet lovely people and see gorgeous places.
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
When I was younger, I used to travel to overcrowded tourist areas with my parents and stayed in too expensive hotels. I was never really able to enjoy these kinds of holidays, so I decided to make some completely different experiences on my own.
I want to really get to know the people who live in the countries I'm traveling to, learn something about their culture and their lifestyle, their thoughts and their problems. I don’t want to be a tourist only, i want to take part in every-days life and learn about all the different sides and perspectives of living and being.
兴趣
~ Wildlife Photography. It‘s my big passion ever since I went to Australia where I discovered a great fascination for the beauty of nature with all its living creatures. Photography is just such a great way to keep those things close to you, even when you are on the other side of the globe. I can spend hours of walking around, listening to the sounds of birds and trying to capture special details with my camera
~ Philosophy & Psychology. Humans in general, phenomenons and dynamics of society, religions, beliefs, politics, cultural and environmental issues…
~ I love reading. No book is safe, I can spend hours diving into another world inside a novel or soaking up information from specialized literature.
~ I'm really more into nature than into cities and buildings, I love being outside, enjoying nature and fresh air instead of being surrounded by walls. I even feel a little bit caged when I stay inside my apartment for more than one day. Nevertheless, I easily get lost in the beauty of small alleys, cafés and - of course - bookshops
~ I‘m also a very active person (although not very athletic), lying around doing nothing really isn’t something for me. At least having a good, long walk is essential for me to make my day. When I have time I also like playing volleyball, doing yoga, going hiking…

音乐、电影和书籍
I'm not watching films very often as I mostly fall asleep during the first few minutes. I’m not too sad about it.
The only films that I can watch without falling asleep are good, old horror movies.
I’m not very choosy when it comes to reading. Nevertheless I prefer some topics and genres: books about science, society and psychological stuff, everything that has philosophical flair, some novels (“Aristotle & Dante discover the secrets of the universe” was a suprisingly good one that I recently read, although the title is pretty sappy), classical works (Oscar Wilde for instance)
Just like books, music is my daily companion as well. I listen to almost everything from heavy metal to pop musik, really depends on the artist, the song and my current mood
我做过的一件不可思议的事情
Going to a stranger’s birthday party in a strange country without knowing anyone there. He invited us through Couchsurfing and we had a wonderful time together, lots of deep conversations with amazing people.
