Hello! My my name is Marie and I am from Germany. I love to get to know new people and I consider myself as very open-minded. Even though I love a good party, I generally prefer staying in a small group and having conversations. I do love dancing though (especially salsa and bachata). I'd love to show you my city, in this case Bamberg. Although I talk a lot, I think that listening is the most important thing when having conversation. By listening you learn about other perspectives and by talking you only revise yours.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would actually like to discover my own country due to the fact that I haven't travelled in Germany so far. I love couchsurfing because you always meet very interesting open-minded people that make every trip extraordinary.

About hosting:
I really love to host people and listen to their stories. Nevertheless, I’ve also had some uncomfortable situations in the past. So, if you’re using Couchsurfing as a dating app or to find somebody to hook up with, don’t ask for a stay at my place! I don’t want anybody to get too close to me, I don’t want to be touched or have someone’s arm laid around me!

To make your stay for both of us comfortable, please bring a sleeping bag (I lost my spare blanket on the train a few weeks ago) and a towel for showering (I do have small ones, so if you don’t need a shower, it’s fine. They are veeery small tho :D). To make sure, you’ve read my profile, please add the word sunshine to your request.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a year in the Dominican Republic. In this year I had many experiences. My favorite experience is the amiability of the people living there. They are always very helpful, answer every question and invite you to stay with them. I had more adventures than I can count but my favorite adventure was in Miches (Dominican Republic) where I walked from the main beach to playa Esmeralda (about 12 km). It was so awesome to just enjoy the sounds of the beach and I only met about three people walking down the beach.
