About Me

Dresses with pockets. Seriously. What else is there to say....
Coffee. Much coffee.
My hair has been almost every colour of the rainbow, but right now I'm carefully nursing it back to health
I study English at university and look forward to not finding a job later, but at least I learn stuff I'm actually interested in. And that's how it should be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am starting my erasmus year in Cardiff next month, and need a flat over there. I thought it would be nicer to search while staying with some nice peolpe via couchsurfing rather than sleeping in one of those relatively anonymous hostels :)
I've had some experience with Couchsurfing while backpacking in Australia, but unfortunately used the account of a friend.
We've stayed at various farms and made some good experiences with it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I actually grew quite fond of Shakespeare lately.... but I'm also big on contemporary lit of course. Thanks to those many literature courses at university I've come across many new authors- favourite has to be H.G. Wells right now. And everything Walter Moers produces comes out as a piece of art!

For music I'm more on the side of rock and kind of harder stuff. Enter Shikari's got to be named here, they stuck with me for so many years now, and never fail to be amazing on stage... <3

And to be honest, the fact that Doctor Who is being filmed in Cardiff may or may have not been rather prominent in choosing my new home for the next year. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to care for baby christmas trees- and I do mean care, quite literally. Every second day you have to walk along every row on huge fields and check every single tiny tree for the right triangular form and if there's a stray twig it gets eliminated... And those tropical trees were quite rebellious. Australians really should appreciate their Christmas trees :D
