Hi! My name is Marie, I am 19 years old and I am from Germany. I recently finished school while working for a TV production company helping in different soccer-stadiums in Germany. After doing an internship for a filmmaker and being on set for a couple of weeks, I decided to cancel my studies and see what life has in stock for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My family started vacationing on cruise-ships when I was really young. I therefore love the sea (I also have a boating license) but also getting to know an entirely new place a day. I want to meet open-minded people, locals, friends and I wish that we can just have a great time and cool adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I do like music, although I will mostly just listen to any random song that is on the radio. Since I aim to study film, I am a big lover of any kind of movie. I like watching Arthouse movies and documentaries at home, but I also sincerely enjoy going to the cinema with friends. And also, you would never find me someplace without a book, I love reading, especially novels about extraordinary people‘s lifes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a JackOfAllTrades (if you can actually translate it like that), a Doer and a Free Spirit. I simply enjoy meeting new people, new places, going on adventures and enjoying life. I am always up for a fun activity, wether that be going on a rollercoaster, catching mosquitos late at night, buying groceries while talking to strangers or going for a walk for a couple of hours.

I could teach you how to do gymnastics, dance, play football or badminton, play the piano or speak a little bit of German, English, French or Spanish, although I am no expert on any of these things. :) I believe that we can learn most from life and other people, and that is something I am currently doing.

For sharing, I have always been the person who would give you my last apple even if I was hungry. I believe that sharing is a simple way of caring for others and that we should do it way more often if possible.
