Overview
About Me
I’m a student and part time researcher at our local university hospital who loves travelling and getting to know new people and cultures. I currently live in a one-room-apartment and I might be able to host just one traveler (it’s best to ask me a couple of days ahead of your trip to see if I have capacities), since the space available is quite limited, but I’d be glad to help if I can. Looking forward to moving into a new bigger apartment when I start working full-time and to offer more flexibility. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Not only Couchsurfing helps dismantle barriers, be them on a map or more figuratively speaking intercultural: I believe it does enhance the beauty of human interconnection and altruism. Through these years I've had the chance of engaging in stimulating conversations and fun trips together with other like-minded couchsurfers from all over the world, and even found a couple I'm glad to call friends. I'm looking forward for more to come!
Music, Movies, and Books
I’ll just list a small selection of music, films and books that I like, so that you can get an idea of what I enjoy. I’m always up for joining a jazz concert and roaming around book stores and I also like trying new things out.

Movies: Isle of Dogs, Cinema Paradiso, The Legend of 1900, The Ladykillers, Fargo, The big Lebowski, Whiplash, Inside Llweyn Davis, The Brigde of Spies, Up, Der Himmel über Berlin
Books: 1984, Animal Farm, All quiet on the western front, Irisches Tagebuch, The Waste Land, Leaves of Grass, Jacob’s ladder, Friedrich Dürrenmatts novels, Mascha Kaléko, Morphium/Arztgeschichten (Bulgakow)
Teach, Learn, Share
People claim I’m a good listener, I’d be glad to listen to your stories. Also I love learning new languages and could tell you a lot of useless facts about etymology and glottology all day long, feel free to teach me some words in the languages you speak if you want. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Depending on the situation, I might be a little shy at the beginning, but once I open up, I can be really chatty. I can show you some nice bars here and make you my legendary Käsespätzle (German egg pasta with tons of cheese) - I definitely enjoy cooking. I love going for hikes, so if my schedule allows it, I’m always ready to pack my hiking shoes and show you my gorgeous region. Or to have a jam session together, if you share love for music. My friends regularly organise karaoke parties and board games evenings, so there might be the chance to join them or to go to a pub quiz.
