Overview
About Me
I am a half-Norwegian and half-Japanese master student currently studying a hybrid of mechanical engineering and computer science 🇳🇴🇯🇵. I grew up moving to different countries so I feel myself most at home in a diverse and international group of people. I love commuting by bike; doing anything out in nature (particularly hiking, swimming, and skiing); care about sustainability and volunteering; drawing and reading; adore dogs beyond anything else; as well as learning new skills.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travelled and couch surfed around Mexico with a friend who had already tried it in Vietnam. I have made so many incredible friends and so many memorable experiences during my travels through Couchsurfing, I truly hope to return all the generosity, love and kindness shown to me by hosting travellers one day myself!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music// My music taste is quite random, but I have a general fondness for musicals, classical compositions and film soundtracks. And I am always happy to get good song recommendations!
Films// I don’t watch that many films, but I really liked The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Books// I love books but am unfortunately rather negligent with reading anything other than textbooks during a busy semester. My Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/107737636
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been biennially vaccinated with three cases of food poisoning and should, therefore, like to think that I have an iron immune system at this point (which was what defended me from the notorious Delhi belly of India):
1. 🇵🇭 Philippines (2016): most likely the mangoes for breakfast
2. 🇲🇽 Mexico (2018): either the cucumber in my taco or the hot chilli the night before
3. 🇳🇵Nepal (2020): in all likelihood the lassi
Teach, Learn, Share
I am always happy to teach and converse in English, Japanese and/or Norwegian, as well as make a shared meal together. If there's an Asian store nearby, we can make (my inauthentic version of) Korean bibimbap or pad thai. I have recently gotten more into baking due to my German roommates, so also cinnamon rolls and cakes! If you're an utter beginner, skiing or knitting? I'm trying to find opportunities to practice speaking French and Spanish and I`m always up for hiking/bouldering if anybody is willing to join me! :)
