ABOUT ME

Hi there, my name is Marie. A few months ago, I moved to Berlin to afford my life and keep an independent spirit. Before gaining work experience, I studied something and took advantage of being a student. While studying it was pretty easy to go abroad. Either internships or exchanges. Fortunately, I was lucky to realise those opportunities, so I was an intern in Ireland and a Erasmus student in the Czech Republic for a semester. Time goes by so quickly that I try to make the most of it. That is why, I like being busy but also to take time for binge watching or sleeping. But of course, to do (team-)sports, to make reliable friends or meet interesting strangers, to explore the world and to read an emotional or exciting book and listen to goose bumps making music are the things, I enjoy. I try to broad my horizon every day...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like hitting the road by myself - no negotiations, 100% independence/selfishness and the constant openness to meet other individuals. But I realized during my travels that I like even more to travel with someone else with whom you can share the memories and might introduce you to other ideas and make decisions for you (because one of my weaknesses is to make up my mind).
But the time-money trade off makes it nearly impossible to find someone with the similar interests. Therefore, Couchsurfing makes at least sure that you share the same interests: fostering one's explorer gene.

My interests are spread over all topics (in other words, I am still trying to find my passion/talent haha) and there are always new ones to be added :P Maybe you've got one more for my list :)
