Overview
About Me
We are a French couple living in Tahiti for more than 15 years. We did a break of 2 years to travel around the world and it was the best part of our life. We have seen so many beautiful and horrible things, met incredible people, learned new skills, discover so much about the other culture and about ourselves.
But you can see as many beautiful landscapes or monuments as possible, what makes your trip unforgettable is the people you are sharing this moment with. You just have to be open and humble and good people will come to you.
Now that we stopped travelling, we are happy to be part of other people journeys. Strangely we had a lot of trouble during our 2 years trip to find host, and one of our experience was even dangerous. But as a traveller, sharing is what we do so we will keep welcoming people and be part of this great community.
We are easy going people, eager to discover the world, and trying to live the day. We love having fun with friends, share stories, talk about everything. We are "bon vivant" always happy to share a good dinner with a good wine.
Our home is an old wooden house made of bits and pieces with a big garden over the river on the north east coast of Tahiti. It’s very simple but comfortable, we love this place.
Before asking us to welcome you, you have to know that we are a bit messy, the house is clean but messy (if you are fussy, don’t come), and as we live in the nature, we share our house with lizard (gecko) and sometimes we can have the visit of some insects and animals.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My parents taught me that your door always need to be open to friends, friend's of friend and possible new friends. My mom really loved to have a lot of people in the house.
We started first to receive people at home with couchsurfing because we love to share our beautiful paradise and we know it is a really expensive destination, so if we can help some people to discover our amazing island, we are happy to do so.
We have been very lucky, the people we had the chance to welcome at home were open minded travellers, and became really good friends.
Interests
Travel of course and make new friends.
We love spending time with our friend and enjoy good moments around a barbecue or an "apero". Playing cards like poker.
I love cooking good meals for my friend and family and I am not bad at it.
My husband is a journalist / writer, passionate about spear fishing and history. He is also really good in building things with recover material.
