Hej Ho!

This is me - Marie how I am called by all individuals around me. I am a free sould that is curious to learn as much as possible about the world around me.
Mi friends probably would describe me as very active, some might say too active. If there is nothing going on I will find anything to do- otherwise I'll get bored.
After finally having finished my school career I started traveling the world on my own, I got stuck in Europe though :) The overseas adventures are still waiting for me.
From 2012 until 2013 I was working in a Youth Center in Catalunya, the north of Spain.
I shared this time with many amazing people and I recognized how much I enjoy spending time with new people.
It makes me feel happy to be abroad, to see the differences and common grounds we have in different countries. I could never stop traveling, because it gives me reason for working and studying.

At the moment "international friendship" among young and old people and caring for the environment we live in are the most important aspects in my personal life. I want us to live in an open minded world that is free from hate and fear of the others. And I hope I can make a tiny contribution to this by walking through this world with open eyes and by learning from others. Sharing is caring!

In my summer holidays I like to travel to places I haven`t been before, it is always quite spontaneous but next destination is Largo di Garda for some rock climbing and tanning at the same time. I travel by bus, train and feet and wish to see as much as possible from your hometowns and countries!
I heard people say some cheesy travel quote that goes: "Travelling is the only thing that you buy that makes you richer!"- sure this is true, but as a student I am always running out of money so I hope to save money staying at your place and having a good time together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why not?
Since I started couchsurfing some years ago I have experiences funny little meet ups with other travellers and heard some nice stories about other peoples adventures in this world. So I hope to find more open minded people that live the spirit of sharing is caring. Hope to hear from you! All the best, Marie

Interests

I play Ultimate Frisbee and love to try new kinds of sport. In summer I sometimes play Beachvolleyball with friends and I go swimming in the river in my hometown in Germany. I love reading but also partying.

I would like to learn 2 more languages, as far as communicating in different languages makes me feel so special.
And since learning languages is a positive effect of traveling- I do of course love traveling :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw the endless days in northern Finland and I really can't compare them to anything similar! Have been living in Umeå, a very northern city of Sweden and survived a pretty tough winter there! Other than that I managed to grow up in this crazy world and it felt pretty amazing so far!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you to drive a unicycle ot to make friendship bracelets. Oh and I am the Queen on a slackline!
If I will learn anything more interestin, I'll let you know.
