About Me

I am from the norwegain west coast, currently living in Oslo to work in an aid and development organisation focusing on climate politics. I have been engaged in climate politics for several years and have for the past year helped organising the Fridays for Future climate strikes in Oslo.

My passion is to travle and experience new and different cultures. I love learning, and the best way to learn about life and the world is through different people and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couchusurfing because the best way to visit a place is learning about it from the people who live there. It is a great opportunity to meet new and interesting people, and I think the whole concept of couchsurfing is creating a more trusting world.

Interests

I am very politically engaged through different NGO's that I work with and support (Amnesty Int. Unicef, Changemaker ect.).
I am increadibly facinated by religions and I love visiting houses of worship.
But most of all I care for a fun night with friends;

The best book I'v read is maybe "Mornings in Jenin" or "a Thousand Splendid suns".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was traveling i India with a friend we ended up in Varanasi, one of the most holy cities in the world. Here we got do know a goup of guys who lived on a boat next to the buring ghats of the Ganga river (the place where one burns the body of the dead so that they can reach mocha). One nigh after an amazing ceremony in one of the temples nearby, they invited us for dinner. As the hours passed by we sat in their boat making delicious Indian food, playing guitar and discussing the true meaning of hinduism as we watched the fires on the ghat. We all slep there that night, and the morning after we went swimming in the holy ganga, one of the most polluted rivers in the world.
