ABOUT ME

I am an open minded, friendly person with a lot of interest in people from all around the world. And I would describe myself as very flexible, uncomplicated and modest. I love backpacking and in my daily life I enjoy cooking, hanging out with friends, listening to all sorts of music, dance and go to the gym. The sea is my passion so I use to go there a lot, either for a walk, or a swim.
Other than that, I am a 22 years old student from Hamburg. My mum is from Finland, so I grew up bilingual (German/ Swedish). I am currently studying European Studies in Malmö, Southern Sweden, an absolutely great city due to its multiculturalism.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a beginner when it comes to Couchsurfing. I have travelled a lot, but so far I have only stayed in hostels. A lot of my friends have talked about it though and it sounds as a great invention, so I am very eager to try it out!

Interests

I enjoy cooking together with friends, and be outdoors. Whether by bike, walking, swimming etc. Live music whether it be in a pub or on a big stage in festivals is what I like to spend my money on. Also, I have been dancing since I am 5 years old. Mostly Jazz Dance, but also Modern, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. I love backpacking, and getting to know people from everywhere.

Music, Movies, and Books

A mix of Singer Songwriters, Rock, Rap, Pop, Indie and Electro would probably describe it best. Ben Howard is my absolutely favourite artist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My experiences as a 16 year old exchange student in Venezuela was maybe not the most amazing experience since it partly was a very tough time, but it was definitely one of my most valuable experiences.
Also working as a teacher in Indonesia was a great and enriching experience, and backpacking through south east asia has definitely been one of my most amazing times I have had.
But beginning as a student in Malmö has likewise been one of my best decisions, since the city, the people, my apartment and my roomie are unique!

Teach, Learn, Share

Getting to know the city from a perspective of the host who probably knows the city very well is already a huge reason for me to do couchsurfing. Whether it is to point out the secret sightseeing spots, the best food places or the cheapest supermarket. On top of that I am happy to learn whatever the hosts are likely to show or teach.
