ABOUT ME

My Friend Rik about me:

"I met Marieke in the summer of 2005. We started the same study in The Hague. The first time we met, we laughted a lot and it never stopped though we can be very serieus too. If you need Marieke, she's there and you can talk with her about everything and she also likes talking to you.
She thinks a lot about other people, the society, minorities and the environment. She's a vegetarian and has fallen in love with chocolate. Most of all she is a great person and I really like the idea we're gonna travel around Italy together!"

I've hosted people from several countries. I also stayed in people's houses in several. It's great fun to see how they live their life! And to be part of it for a short time!
I met these people because I was travelling or doing voluntary work in their country. Or my friends and family introduced me to these people.

Meeting my friends or new friends:), reading, listening to music, singing/theatre (I like to see people performing, and I'm taking lessons myself).
