We are two very different people, who work surprisingly well together.

Andrew is outgoing and social and loves going out and meeting new people. Mariek is quieter than Andrew, and enjoys a balance between relaxing at home and going out.

We both love to find new places and explore them. We've been bitten by the travel bug hard! Mariek especially always wants to jet off for a long weekend somewhere fantastic, whereas Andrew is more frugal and less inclined to buy spontaneous flight tickets.

We're flexible travelers, and are always willing to help out where we can. We try to keep our spirits light and senses of humor sharpened anytime we explore new areas and meet new people.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We have loved hosting people at our home in Jeju in the past. Unfortunately, our new home in Shenzhen does not have room to host anyone in, though we are always open to meeting up and hanging out! We want to continue meeting new and wonderful people even if we aren't able to host currently.

Andrew is the music guru between the two of us. He says he can't pick a favourite music group at the moment, but he will be very happy to discuss it in person!

As for movies, we both enjoy them. Mariek prefers happier films, whereas Andrew likes drama and horror.

Books, the more the merrier! Love them all.

So many things!

We lived very different lives from each other before we met. And since being together we've had more adventures! I think our favourite one so far was lying on a beach in Thailand just doing nothing for a week. Just enjoying life and the atmosphere around us.

If you are able to host us on our journey, we would love to cook dinner for you one evening. Cooking and eating brings people together, and especially while couchsurfing it can be a great way to share culture and make new friends!
