About Me

CURRENT MISSION

In relation to my 2017 backpacking trip to New Zealand and student exchange in Perth (Australia), my mission is to become as comfortable expressing myself in English as I am in French. The underlying motivation is to get to know myself better by going for new experiences and taking on personal challenges. My greater wish in life is to nourish a feeling of calm, confidence and thankfulness.

ABOUT ME

I need to move and to be outdoors. Recently I've had lots of fun doing yoga and indoor rock-climbing. I love going on long walks in calm environments. I also love dancing. I am an introvert. I enjoy meeting people very much, I am curious about what they have to share, but sometimes I can be a little shy, especially talking about myself. Meeting couchsurfers and hosts is one of my personal challenges this year (2017).

PHILOSOPHY

Take the time to think about what's important for you and your place in the world. Don't let your decisions be guided by fear. Consume less and share. Be responsible about the impacts of your actions on the Earth and the people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't accept guests right now because I am away traveling!
I wish to use Couchsurfing to meet up with people for activities and also
for free accommodation. As I am traveling alone I will enjoy having company at times. I would very much like to share discussions and food with locals.
When I move back to Montreal I intend to become in turn a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In my previous travels (2012), I met up with a friend in Brussels, Belgium, and we stayed in an apartment with some very generous people for 2 nights. That is my only couchsurfing experience as I have never traveled with electronic devices before.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leave my parents' home at 19 years old to backpack with a friend across Europe and end up traveling by myself for a few weeks.

Contemplate the place where the oceans collide at the tip of Denmark. Surf for the first time in Scotland. Climb Ben Nevis in Fort William (Scotland). Walk across the amazing landscapes of Göreme, Cappadocia (Turkey), pass by the Carpathian Mountains of Romania.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my discoveries and feelings while traveling, but I can also share my viewpoint on life, on my culture. I can teach French. I can cook a meal.

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
