About Me

Update: I live in the Pyrenees in winter near a ski resort

Hi, I travel quite a lot and now in summer i live in Groningen. There is an extra loft bed and place for a 2p matress on the floor. all in the same room.
I work at the vegetable market in the city centre and in my free time i sew new clothes from trash and i drink a lot of tea. and beer.
Food is an important thing in my life and i love to cook when im in the mood. I dont like doing the dishes though nor cleaning itself, so expecting a bit messy house can be realistic.
The building where I live is the former biological university so there are a lot of crazy young and old people living here. Surrounded by trees of the botanical garden. There's even a free shop in the house. I love to hitchhike; recently i calculated it roughly with google maps, and im on around 34000 hitchiked kilometers. Sounds a lot, haha. On my travels i got hosted by so many people, by couchsurfing but also just local people who gave me a ride or whom i met. Turkey, georgia india nepal bulgaria thailand and romania for example. What a hospitable people ive met! I can give a bit back now i live here. feel welcome!!!

I speak Dutch and English and i can have a basic conversation in French and German. learning Hindi though.

Normally i eat only vegetables but from the dumpster i can eat everything.

In this world full of moneyminded people, there is a community called couchsurfing, were people simply trust each other and open their homes and their hearts for complete strangers from the other side of the world, without expecting anything back. How beautiful! Imagine...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

just one?
My most adventurous trip, was when I hitchhiked for the first time, with my friend to Rome. We stayed there for a month and slept one week on the streets with the homeless, just because we met an amazing homeless man, called Vladimir.
ok, another one: my heart skipped some beats the moments before my one-way flight departed to Mumbai. I was so scared to go there alone but my dreams were more powerfull. it was for sure one of the most exciting things i have done.

Teach, Learn, Share

i can share food
I can teach you some ski basics if you come in winter
I'm open to learn a lot, so when you can teach me anything I will be very happy! And when I can teach you one of my skills, that would be awesome too :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can repair your clothes a little bit by hand while I listen to your stories, I can also just be a good compagnion or drink a beer together. Whatever, I am an easygoing and independent person, so I would love to share some time together, but I can also go my own way, what you prefer.
