Interests

I would like to visit historical towns and cities, and above all, visit the places where historical characters I admire lived their lives. Know that they once stood in the very place I am standing at. I like the contrast between the very modern and the antique.

Mostly, I like places that have changed little since their construction, be it buildings, neighbourhoods or whole cities, because it feels a bit like stepping back in time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music, exceptions are very rare. That also means that my favourite artists come very different genres. I think that Taylor Swift, Celtic Woman, Ed Sheeran, Keith Urban, Westlife, Oonagh, Ron Pope, Peter Hollens, Karliene, Matchbox 20, Goo Goo Dolls are some of my favourites.

About books, I love everything and anything that is considered high fantasy. My favourite author of all times is J. R. R. Tolkien. My favourite book is The Hobbit (I want to go on an adventure :D ). I also like the Song of Ice and Fire saga by George R. R. Martin. I like the Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter is my guilty pleasure. I also enjoy classics, a personal favourite of mine is Jane Austen.

Movies: If it is a historical drama, it is almost certain that I will like it. I love a good drama in historical costumes. Also if it's a romantic movie, I will most likely like it. And well, fantasy movies, I like as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I know my career is not something big, but I did it all by myself and I have done some amazing pieces which make incredibly proud (Like, "That is awesome! Did I really do that? Was that really done by me? :P )

Also, I am a very shy person, so when I joined a Polynesian dance group in high school and was told I would have to dance in public, on a stage, I was petrified. But I did that and I am so happy I did dare to do that. I am still a shy person, but I learned that being in the spotlight is not the end of the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to exchange all I can with my hosts from both of our cultures, learn about theirs and share from mine. I like hearing about different points of view and how things can be perceived differently through our cultural ideologies and backgrounds.

What I Can Share with Hosts

One of the things that I love most is cooking, so I would like very much to both learn how to cook traditional dishes from other countries and, of course, teache others about my own country's dishes.

It is very different to look for specific recipes or eating at a specialized restaurant than to see the real cooking of everyday households in different countries. And food is one of those few things that we can all share and brings us together.
