I am international student studying Marriage and Family Therapy here so everything about human nature and cultures is interesting for me. I came here about a year ago and immediately fell for LA..lots of sun, opened people, diversity of cultures, great research sites and universities, beach and those mountains! I must mention that I love nature very much so all fellow hikers are welcome to contact me about good power (or relaxation, depending how you perceive it=P) walk.
I must mention that art is big in Los Angeles and I still have not checked out all museums and galleries so if you are travelling and have one particular in mind (or more than 1) please feel free to consider going there together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am positive international student who is exploring the world. Travelling has always been my big passion, and I would be happy to share my experience as well as listen to yours.

Interests

I like psychology and everything connected to human science, cultures, yoga and spirituality included ;) Doing mehendi and making shambala just for fun)
Dance is another passion of mine. Right now I'm exploring the world of social dancing (I dance salsa, bachata, cha-cha, merengue, cumbia, zouk, and kizomba; tried blues once but realized that any kind of swing is just not my thing). Basically I have been dancing since I was 8 (tried ballroom dancing, hip-hop, belly-dance, contemp, learned some ballet classics) so now considering licensing in dancing psychotherapy which is another new cool thing on my field.
I also like taking photos and have my own amateur photoblog (https://photolover2014.wordpress.com/)
I do a lot of volunteering (providing psychological services for people who cannot afford it - mentoring, doing crafts with foster kids, participate in homeless feeding events) as I think that everyone can make this world better just doing positive things without expectation to get something back.

Music, Movies, and Books

all types of music (but particularly crazy about dub-step, and some instrumental songs)
I'm kinda picky about movies (prefer good drama or historical movies) and don't watch just anything that was recently released
I read mostly professional books (or something connected to my profession like philosophy, or spiritual practices) but love historical novels as well

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

it's hard to mention one) rope jumping in Kiev from pedestrian bridge, swimming at night on Malibu beach, communication with seals in La Jolla SD, snorkeling and jet ski on Key West and much more on a bucket list)
