Hi, everyone! My name is Mariia. It's so nice and exciting to join the Couchsurfing community! :)
Well, as everyone else here, I love traveling, enjoy exploring new cultures, meeting new people, looking for marvelous breathtaking locations and searching for new experiences in different places.
My home country is Russia but three years I lived in Finland and attended the IB high school there.
Right now I live and study in Leuven, Belgium - so excited to explore places nearby! :)
I'm an open-minded, easy-going and optimistic girl wishing to explore the world and get new experiences. I believe that Couchsurfing would help me with it! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Desire to visit all the fascinating places of our planet and make international friendships. I believe sharing and coĺlaborating is precious during the trips :)

I love doing lots of different things, keeping myself busy all the time. It can be either sports, reading, drawing, hiking, watching movies and much more depending on my mood and current goals

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore all the books written by Dan Brown (Digital Fortress, The Da Vinci Code, The lost symbol, The Deception Point, Angels and Demons, Inferno). The plot takes precedence over me and I can't stop reading up to the end of the book.
I love watching movies and have lots of my favourites (Step Up, Colonia Dignidad, Larry Crowne, The Devil Wears Prada, Perfume: the Story of a Murderer, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, National Treasure, Eat Pray Love, The Danish Girl, The Dressmaker) and many many others. I am a movie fan!
I listen to different types of music but mostly indie and pop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I believe I've done more than 1 amazing which turned into great memories :)
- indoor skydiving! - it was... fantastic! - the next step is a real skydive.
- hiking in Norway around the Preikestolen rock: 600 meters above the sea level - the view is so gorgeous!
- hiking the whole day at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland: wonderful views and a great company made that day remarkable for whole my life.
- solo trip through the whole Britain: in some places challenging but experience and lovely cities were great

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some Russian language and cook some Russian meal.
I'm always ready to share my life stories and ready to learn and experience new things.
