About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm kind of a self-made man. I like to travel, meet new people and share my life experiences with them. I like cooking and eating good food, that's why discovering new products and spices is important to me. I think that happiness and freedom - that is what every person needs and strives for in his/her life. I am an open-minded person and I try to be positive all the time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My first couch surfing experience happened when I was at the conference in Kaliningrad. I knew, that this site is a place of sharing and giving, but still, it was an amazing experience, because I didn't expect that strangers can become friends so soon. I am still amazed and happy!=)
Interests
My interests are not out of ordinary, but they include cooking and eating (as I have already mentioned), reading, playing board games with my friends, visiting DIY courses and lessons, teaching (yes, my job is my hobby too) and doing sports (I recently started playing squash and I'm really fond of this game).

Music, Movies, and Books
I like different kinds of music, but jazz is still my favourite (especially Billie Holliday and Nina Simone). My favourite film directors are Andrey Tarkovsky and Lars von Trier (Solaris; Andrey Rublev; Melancholia and Antichrist are the best, I think). I also read many books, but it's hard to pick up my favourites because there so many of them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One morning I woke up, took my passport and went abroad for a day with my friend Ljuba. It was unexpected, fun and amazing. It was the moment that I knew that travelling is the way I see life.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I'm a professional English teacher, I can easily help you with your English. I always have some useful advice and I'll gladly share my knowledge with you. I also know a thing or two about movies and TV series (God, I love them), so I can talk about them for hours.
I'll be grateful for any information on local traditions and food, as I'm interested more in the daily life of simple people than museums and old palaces. What do you do every day? Which grocery store do you go to? What do you do in the evenings? What lunch do you take with you? All these little things are of interest to me.
