About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel as much as possible

ABOUT ME

I take pleasure in good music, wine, interaction with free, open-minded, kind people who are not too into the material things in life. I love travelling and try to travel as much as I can. I love animals, I have a twelve-year-old cat and a dog that I have just adopted a few days ago.
I am funny, easy-going and a very polite guest, it is important to know :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to CouchSurfing, but I think it is a great way to travel and meet new people. I do not like to go to foreign countries like a tourist, I like to meet the local people, learn about their culture and more importantly make new friends. I always say to my students that having friends all over the world is a great wealth. And I mean what I say.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Godfather- my favourite film :) I also very much enjoy fantasy adventure films, well, not all of them but one in particular: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy- one of my all time favourite places to escape to from the cruel realm of the real world ;)
Music: Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin, The Doors...Classic rock...Hard Rock...U2,Coldplay, RHCP, INXS...Manu Chao, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, Pearl Jam and other Seattle-based alternative bands: Nirvana, Soundgarden.. It is a mix of sounds.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if it's amazing, but I have walked in the minefield on daily basis at age 19. didn't think much of it at the time, it was part of my job, I was an interpreter working on a European demining project after the war in Bosnia. It was an important job, that's how I saw it, I was helping people remove dangerous mines from the area where people lived, and it was all with the purpose of normalizing life after the war. Luckily, I never got hurt, but to be honest I am not sure I would do it again now if I had the chance again. I guess when you are young you feel invincible and like nothing bad can happen to you, you are bigger than life. I miss that feeling :)
