About Me

The site had problems with uploading pictures so here is my website to see me and learn more about me; www.moringaforlife.com Look under Grow Moringa and Gallery for pictures. The workshop pictures are at my home on our farm. I will upload pictures of the room when the site issues are fixed.

Married with 4 grown children and one grandson. I am a farmer though I have been educated in business. I lived in Germany for 5 years between 1984 and 1989 and had a consulting business. We moved back to the US and continued my consulting business for the telecommunications industry in California.
I left that industry to work in agriculture. I was an Organic Inspector and now have a farm where I grow Moringa. l now give certification courses on how to grow and process Moringa. I am interested in bringing this knowledge and experience to Mexico. People and non-profit organizations have been through my class and are beginning projects in many African countries, and Mexico. I am in a certification course to become a Soil Analyst under Dr. Elaine Ingham.
I am half Japanese and half Irish. My mother is from a traditional samurai family and my father is from a ranch in Oregon. From an early age I was understanding the differences in cultures. It is still a fascinating arena for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My husband and I will be traveling a lot this year. We are interested in meeting local people in the places we visit. We were in San Miguel De Allende last January to visit friends and made more friends. I have always preferred to travel this way. We also have a house in San Diego where it is always a good time to visit. It is on our small farm where we also have chickens and ducks for fresh eggs and a garden for fresh vegetables. It is on a hillside with beautiful views and a very calm and quite life. In 3 minutes I can get to my shop and the city. The city is Vista, in the north part of San Diego County. We are 2 hours from Los Angeles and 1 hour to the border of Mexico.

Interests

Growing Moringa, reading, music ( my husband is a songwriter and musician), working with herbs, travel, cooking (both my sons are chefs), beekeeping (we have hives on the farm). I am a fan of Dr. Weston Price and follow his work. We are in a club called My Real Food Club. Soil science (we have a small room that is being converted to a lab for soil research).
