About Me

I'm Haru's mother and Felipe's wife. Writer and manager of Ohayotourism, a Japanese travel blog. I have been to more than 60 countries and discovering new places is what I love to do. We live in Tokyo and my husband always had a curiosity about my country so he decided to study Japanese here. We met online while he was still living in Brazil so I guess we can say it was a distance relationship in the beginning. Our Haru came to this world in 2016 and will be 3yo in November. She is lovely and gets along pretty well with other people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I resigned from my regular job last year, my blog is my full-time job. Since it is not yet as rentable as my previous job, we are looking for ways to make our trips possible. Also, we have this trip to Brazil scheduled that will be really expensive.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently we've been listening to Queen a lot - Bohemian Rhapsody's influence. But we listen and watch lots of things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me, being visited more than 60 countries is an astonishing achievement. For Felipe, coming to Japan, getting a job, marrying and having this beautiful daughter is something amazing for him.

Teach, Learn, Share

Felipe helps me with the blog and my dream is this to be our life-memorial while helping other travelers in having a more comfortable and enjoyable trip abroad.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge about world-traveling, millage systems and since my last job was in a big credit card company in Japan, I can teach something about credit cards too. Felipe is a more spiritual person (not in a religious way) and he likes to study human social-driven behaviors. He also is really interested in Japanese animation and can share something of the genre with you. I guess we can discuss a lot about anything :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, China, Cuba, France, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Russian Federation, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
