About Me

Current Status; NOT able to host at the moment. This is not negotiable.
I'll let you know when I'm gonna be available again. More details.in houserules.

🦋CURRENT MISSION

To turn my house into a home while working full-time. To start living slowly and proudly.

🦋PHILOSOPHY;
Energy never lies.
Wabi-Sabi philosophy
My mind is my key to my happiness :)

🌍 I traveled purposefully, independently towards vague destinations when I was younger, CS has been part of my life since I was 17 years old, it's a school, a source of learning, a place to connect. And also sums up my life in my 20s :)

🦋 Waves, wildlife, eco, adventures, hitchhiking, mountains, trekking, camping still make me feel wholesome but nothing beats being a mom.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

🦋When I travel, I get to meet people from different cultures whith whom I share the same passion for traveling. When I'm home, I offer hospitality to people from different cultures at home.

🏘️COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I ve been a member of this community for 10 years- cs has made me realize that no dream is small and that the world isn't actually as huge as is seems...

I have a few requests though;

⚡Don't send me messages a month (or generally, a long time) before you arrive
⚡Read my profile before you send me a Couchrequest
⚡If you need a couch, send me a Couchrequest instead of a message.
⚡Please, leave a reference. I keep these as a diary

🦋Thank you🦋

Interests

📚I love reading literature and poetry because as Roald Dahl said, it gives a hopeful and comforting message: you are not alone.

🧭As a former traveler, I still enjoy camping with friends, support hitch-hiking as a way of traveling, I am generally open to new adventures, sharing travel stories.

🎨I am really into art and interior design- modern art, body art, history of art, anything. I collect magazines and albums about photography, art, cinema and interiors and i am proud to say that I have a huge bookcase that is full (you can take a look at the album "Thessaloniki apartment"). I enjoy drawing - i am currently working on my art journals as a hobby.

🎼 Music is life. Beatles have written a song for every single moment, Stones, Kinks, The Who have proved that rock n' roll can save lives, no one can describe "panic in Detroid" better than David Bowie- there are times we all want to go "back to the blues" cause "it's the only way we knoooowwww" and others when "we are going back to black" just because "black is black". Then, there's also the white soul that gives peace to OUR soul, hard rock's wild rhythm to take us high, eric clapton to make us dream, 20's, 30's, 40's rockabilly to dance till we drop- living without music is not possible. I play the guitar a couple of years now, I am not a pro, though.

👣If half part of life consists of music, I suppose the other half includes dancing. From ballet to rock n' roll, from rnb dancing to street style, dancing completes me. When I'm not rocking the floor at a barhouse or dancing lindy hop and rockabilly (my fav. types of dancing- they just take you to the old good times when innocence mattered, I wonder, just wonder how would the world be now if it hadn't lost the purity it had in the 40s; the vibe and the quirky moves, just a perfect balance between having fun and flirting in an elegant way), you' ll find me at a swimming pool or in the sea. Water is my favorite element. I truly love the feeling of the waves, the salty hair, the colorful fish and sea creatures as well as any kind of watersport. As the quote says "wild and free, just like the sea"...

🤩Finally, i love these little things that make life cozy and special even when nothing extraordinary actually happens; inspirational quotes and lyrics, colorful drinks, unusual beers and wines , interesting tattoo ideas, an attractive mess, theater performances, working on an art journal, walking on the beaches (looking at the peaches), alternative ways of living (whatever that means), unplanned roadtrips, comfy sweaters and pullovers, yoga and meditation, drawing mandalas, renovations, arts and crafts, doodling, cozy pillows, a cup of hot coffee (or tea) on a rainy day, lovely Sunday mornings, biking in the city, spending a day at a vinyl shop, laughing with my best friend's vivid facial expressions, window shopping- these damn vintage ankle boots(!), reading a book before going to bed, admiring a lake house in the midwest or/and the architecture of a beautiful city, waking up with music, capturing odd moments with a camera...
and of course, the events: a motor rally, concerts, beer festivals, tattoo festivals, live shows, gun shows, martial arts performances, rhythm and speed, yes, a lot of speed and friendship and a bohemian state of mind...

And the documentary "The story of Jazz" - it was a recommendation by Ivan & Rancho Malfatta, yes, the old school couchsurfer who will teach you everything about everything; he taught me logic (sudoku), how to dance tango, how to make mate and fernet and showed me Jazz & Rockmusic at its best, I'll be forever grateful for that but mostly for the hospitality

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

🦋I consider myself lucky that I've had the chance to travel to Tennessee and Mississippi, USA. How can I forget Elvis Presley's house? How can I forget Memphis?

🦋Hitchhiking/Backpacking extensively in the world

🦋Forming a #oneparenthome

Teach, Learn, Share

🦋Teach and Share:

-I can translate from several languages and I can teach you the basic stuff.
-I can share my traveling experiences and I'm also a great listener. If you enjoy black humor, I promise you're gonna laugh a lot.
-I can teach you how to dance on lace-up pointed toe heels.
-If you stay with me for a longer time in the summer, i can teach you the basics of swimming
-I can literally teach you how to hitchhike, how to build a tent and which places are the most suitable ones to do so.
- I can share my knowledge about volunteering worldwide.
- I can give you tips/secrets/a personal guide if you want to work, study, travel, volunteer ---at the same time.

-Share info about projects/events/opportunities that emphasize on adventure, awareness, simplicity, creativity, discovery, independence and the growth of spirit.
-Just like any other person, some of my decisions have landed me in hot water in the past. You can learn from my mistakes.

🦋Learn:
-I would like to learn about motherhood. Anything related to that.
- I'd like to learn to cook (I'm horrible at that).
- Learning more about yoga, meditation, hollistic heath and wellness, alternative therapies (acupressure, reflexology, ayurvedic medicine, herbalism, shiatsu, reiki, sound therapy, aromatotherapy, karmic healing, tibetan medicine, crystal therapy) is part of my everyday education

What I Can Share with Hosts

🦋More or less my every day life; info about trips, yoga, herbalism, art, music, books, movies. I can give you my opinion on social issues, friendships, relationships...outfits! ... A beer, a cup of tea or a glass of wine can also be an option... I will not be cooking for you because as I said above, I am a terrible cook. I don't cook for myself either...
