About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I desire mostly to enjoy the happenstance of life with the best attitude possible. Be they good or be they bad, I just want to be surrounded with good people who have good hearts and open minds.

ABOUT ME

I am happy. I have an intensity for living (experiencing) this life of mine, the good and the bad to the fullest. I enjoy the presence of people because I believe that everyone has something to share and teach which is why I try to travel as much as possible, to meet new people and reconnecting with old friends whenever I have a chance to do so.

PHILOSOPHY

"What if a demon were to creep after you one night, in your loneliest loneliness, and say, 'This life which you live must be lived by you once again and innumerable times more; and every pain and joy and thought and sigh must come again to you, all in the same sequence. The eternal hourglass will again and again be turned and you with it, dust of the dust!' Would you throw yourself down and gnash your teeth and curse that demon? Or would you answer, 'Never have I heard anything more divine'?"

Frederick Nietzsche

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By traveling and sharing my experiences and actively listening to the experiences of those who host me and those who I meet throughout my journeys.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Technically, I have travelled (couch surfed) unofficially. San Miguel de Allende made it official. Everyone I've encountered has opened their heart and homes to me and I am grateful and can't wait for the day I can do the same.

Interests

My students. My dog, Francesca. Gardening. Writing. Traveling. Spanish film (Almodovar). Avid reader of Saveur magazine. Amateur chef. Non-profit supporter and volunteer (Sweet Dreams Rwanda, Blue Marble Dreams).

Tutoring: I love my students and sharing my knowledge with them is a privilege I will never grow tired off.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many and so varied, but I will give you a few hints for each. The rest you can know when you meet me.

Books: Haroun and the Sea of Stories, Memoria de mis Putas Tristes, The Bluest Eye. I am currently reading Los Ingravidos. Also, anything by Clarice Lispector, Elizabeth Bishop, Emily Dickinson.

Movies - Pedro Almodovar. Guillermo del Toro. Female Perversions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Followed a group of Elephants into their natural habitat, in the mountains of Thailand, and watched them eat, bathe, and play.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy people of all backgrounds. Strong, adventurous, timid, outgoing, lazy. Everyone holds a little something of everything in themselves. We just have to find the opportunity and the right person to share it with.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My ideas, my writing, my compassion and my ears. I love to listen!
