My favourite books: Nina Burleigh: Mirage: Napoleon´s Scientists and the Unveiling of Egypt (wonderful testimony about Napoleon´s campaign to Egypt), Giles Milton: White Gold (historical book about slavery in Morocco), Tom Reiss: The Orientalist (about one journalist and writer who had a very interesting life but is quite unknown).
My favourite movies: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Amadeus by Milos Forman, The Piano by Jane Campion, English Patient by Anthony Minghella, Falling in Love by Ulu Grosbard, The Day of the Locust by John Schlesinger and many more.
