About Me
Hi!
I am Maria and I am 24 years old.
I grew up in Milan, Italy, with a italian mum and a danish dad. After highschool I moved to Copenhagen where I studied photography at Fata Morgana Danish School of Art Photography.
One of the best work experience I ever had was to work in a daycare in Copenhagen. I learned a lot about pedagogy and at the same time I kept working with photography. I ran a photo project with the kids with the aim of to get to know each other through the lens. Before I left I printet the pictures and I made a little exhibition with the purpose of the kids should recognize each other and learn about feelings.
I currently live in Lebanon where I am volunteering with the NGO Salam LADC. I run a kind of kindergarten for syrian refugees and vulnerable lebanese children at the Salam Community Center. The program has the goal to improve their fine and gross motor skills through playing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is an amazing possibility to meet local people and learn about each others culture. I wish I could host but I live in a tiny room in Copenhagen where there is not physical space for more than one person.
I am happy though to show the city to everyone who pop by Copenhagen, as soon as I am back from my exsperience in Lebanon.
