ABOUT ME

I´m a journalist & photographer, easigoing & openminded, very interested in intercultural cross, meeting new people, new places, learning about politics and different cultures, music (rock, pop, folk). I love music shows, and fun parties, but I also enjoy a good quiet talk!

Music, Movies, and Books

I´m into music, from local bands (pop & rock) like Pez, Acorazado Potemkin, El Mato, Juana Molina, Babasónicos, Divididos, Las Diferencias, to more latinamerican stuff, like Manu Chao, Ete, Caetano Veloso, or Café Tacuba. But I also like anglo music, (Nick Cave, Patti Smith, St. Vincent, PJ Harvey, Johnny Cash, Dave MAtthews, Pearl Jam, The Cure, Belle and Sebastian, The National, QOTSA, Rufus Wainwright, and the list could go on and on! And.. flamenco music!! Camarón de la Isla y José Mercé, rule!
In movies, I´m a big fan of Wes Anderson, David Lynch, Tim Burton, Alex Perry Ross, Caetano, in general if it´s a good story, authentic and fun, I´ll enjoy it.
Alice in Wonderland, both books and both movies! before sunset/sunrise, Casablanca, The triplettes of Belleville, los puentes de maddison, Punch drunk love, lost in translation, el laberinto del fauno, and so on!
Regarding books, my favourite author is Julio Cortázar. His stories are something incredible, and the way he wroted them still is very particular and unique. It´s a new world every time you open one of his books. I also like Banana Yoshimoto, Amelie Nothomb, Borges, Kafka, Bioy Casares, Clarice Lispector, Piglia, Bolaño, Arlt, Barthes,.
Photography is also one of my passions, arts and books by Nan Goldin, Horacio Coppola, Grete Stern, Walker Evans, Adriana Lestido, Catala Roca, Sally Mann, Vivian Maier, Cartier Bresson, Robert Frank, Annemarie Heinrich, and so many!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not so many things... travelled to some lovely places of Argentina, visit (and get lost!) at Praha. I´ve slept in the desert and walked around the end of the earth in Ushuaia, probably the most beautiful place in the world!!
And, one of the most exhilarating and unbelievable things I've done is dancing on stage with Nick Cave and other fans!! Also, watching the sun rise while travelling on a hot balloon!! And making new friends around Bilbao, Barcelona, Buenos Aires and NYC is also memorable!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning is one of my main goals! So I´m open to new & interesting stuff!!
I could share the things I konw about history, politics, and local cousine & music!

What I Can Share with Hosts

The place and pace from were I live & love my city.
I can share with you many cultural and foodie traditions (as many "argentos" I´m the daughter of inmigration and those stories are also part of my present), a bit of history and politics to let you know why we are so fun, complicated, stubborn, arrogants, but yet lovable and friendly.
