Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Back home in San Diego I was constantly showing people around, but after moving to the bay area I kinda fell off CS while I was adjusting and getting back on my feet. I'm now in Seattle and have a spare room to host occasionally. I'm always up for a meet-up or a hike.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- Mostly atmospheric black metal/melodic death metal. I listen to a healthy dose of more radio friendly stuff, too.
Books- Mainly fiction, high fantasy (I'm a Tolkien encyclopedia), and some political/biopic non-fiction.
Movies- pretty much anything but horror or super tired narratives 😅
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was on the 2008 Vans Warped Tour for a little over a month, from Georgia to Ohio. I got paid $100 a day to drink beer and sell stuff. It was so hot and humid all I could wear without risking heat stroke was a swimsuit. I showered once every five days, if I was lucky. I met so many amazing people, drank such an obscene amount of beer, and became part of such a wonderful motley crew community of characters from every walk of life, I will never forget those 38 days of summer.
More recently, I traveled solo for my first time. I went to Maui in Jan 2013 for a week and had such an amazing trip. I hitchhiked everywhere, rode on the back of a moped barefoot with a case of beer in one arm going to Little Beach, met Steven Tyler and had a dance party with him and dozens of other awesome people, was nude on a beach more often than I was clothed in a structure, and made some lifelong friends. Most importantly, before I went I was having anxiety dreams of getting fired every night, and when I get back all I dreamt about was the ocean. Priceless.
