Helloooo! I'm Marina - just another couchsurfer with extremely itchy feet, ready to explore this great, big planet (and try to save it). I'm currently studying Environments and Social Studies - learning all about climate change; its threats to all areas of this world, current actions to minimise its damage and future actions to help save it.

And I'm going to be travelling China with my partner Nathan in June! He is a creative aspiring writer (he can tell you all about his epic book he is writing), an honest take-no-bullshit kind of guy and the most observant, empathetic person I've ever met. He has never couchsurfed and I can't wait to blow his mind with the awesome, generous people of the world on here.

I really love people. It's the simplest way to put it. I love talking to people from every walk of life and getting to know their story. I know how much there is to learn from every single person.

Favourite books are endless but to name a few: Cloudstreet, Wild, all of Osho's books, The Girls, Milk and Honey etc.
And you just can't shake my love for Harry Potter.
And oh god I love movies. I think the right movie can be truly life changing - I know because a few have changed mine. To name a few: Into the Wild, Wild, Perks of being a Wallflower and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Plus my ultimate feel goods: Love Actually (watch it every Christmas) and How to Train Your Dragon. I love movies that make you sit back and think and feel and empathise. And if anyones looking for an awesome Aussie movie recommendation please watch Bag Eggs. It's hilarious.
Also shout out to Black Mirror, Please Like Me and Game of Thrones for TV shows.
And music! Long, long list but well known favourites include Lumineers, Catfish and the Bottlemen, MATT MAESON (omg check that beautiful boy out), Sleeping At Last, Imagine Dragons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros etc. etc. chill, acoustic, beautiful music with piano or guitar are bliss 💕

Algo increíble que he hecho

The most amazing thing I've ever done is hike the Pennine Way (268 miles) from England to Scotland solo for 20 days. I climbed waterfalls in hail storms, fell in rivers, waded in bogs up to my knees and twisted my ankle day 1!
I certainly had miserable, miserable days and nights but oh my god. The people I met. The things I learnt about myself. The things I saw on this beautiful earth! It was equally the worst and best thing I've ever done haha!
