Overview
About Me
Finding my way as a writer and editor in theatre, film and television, at a time when most people are retiring. Having worked in the arts since I was 14 in my hometown London, I now work from home, which allows me time for family, friends, couchsurfers, and volunteering in my community. I am generally very sociable, but also enjoy quiet time on the sofa reading, or watching films and television shows, which are also a necessary part of my professional development. My philosophy in life is to above all, be kind, while maintaining healthy boundaries and being clear about what is acceptable to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be part of an ethical travel community, save money, and meet new people. I live in Nanaimo, on beautiful Vancouver Island on modest means, and can share access to this wonderful place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Thinking about which one to share...
Teach, Learn, Share
Indian, Italian, and vegetarian cooking, though we are a meat eating household. Story editing. Acting lessons. Professional/artistic development strategies and planning. Tell me what you are about, and I can likely help.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I tend to go with the energy of the household and respond to whatever works, or is needed. I generally bring Earl Grey tea, because that is my morning drink of choice, I add to the the food stock and cook if my host finds it appropriate. I like, and have in the past, made a living with cooking, so am happy to do that. I can be quiet and/or offer wide ranging conversations, wit and wisdom, I tend to clean up after myself and, if it is welcomed, chip in with chores.
