About Me

Me and my husband are originally from Brazil, but have completed our master's degree in the US during the last two years. We are taking a gap year before starting our PhD programs and are excited to meet new people and cultures all over the world! Although we are very sociable and love hanging out with new people, we don't enjoy parties, drugs or drinking alcohol (we can have fun without those things, ;). We don't eat pork or sea food and we avoid coffee (trying to stay healthy in this crazy world).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are eager to be able to have an authentic experience wherever we go. That includes getting to know the people, the experiences and the day-to-day lives. That is what Couchsurfing is all about!

Interests

We love experimenting new foods, traveling, studying (yes! very much!), reading, exploring, scuba diving, and having life-transforming conversations.

Music, Movies, and Books

My husband loves any sort of movie soundtrack, I'm not too in to music. Favorite movies of ours would include Grease, Mamma Mia, and The Sound of Music (mine), the Batman, James Bond, and Lord of the Rings series (his). And our favorite books are way too many to list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My husband has participated in an amazing archaeological dig and I have swam with dolphins, turtles, and sea lions.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, because we just finished our masters (my husband in Ancient Near Eastern Archaeology, and me in Philosophy of Religion), we love to teach and share what we learn and are so passionate about.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The stories of an adventurous life and our knowledge in theology, archaeology and philosophy. But mostly learn...
