Actualización: Acutalmente, estoy cursando una maestría binacional y así, pasando dos semestres en la UdG en Guadalajara, México. Debido a que tenemos las clases en línea se dificulta un poco conocer a gente, así que si tienes ganas de encontrarte a una chela y cotorrear y/o monstrarme tus lugares favoritos en Guadalajara, con mucho gusto (aún más, si eres una persona feminina - extrano un poco el cotorreo entre mujeres :D ;)) ! :)

I would describe myself as an open, talkative and warm person. I love to hang out with my friends and I am always open for spontanous ideas. I am really passioned about Latinamerica as well as Southeastasia where I travelled already some countries and would love to call it once my home at least for several years. I love my studies (German as a foreign language and intercultural communication & geography) and am enjoying the student life with lots of free days at the lakes/rivers, meeting my friends in university and actually even the study-part in the library. It's not hard to make me happy - good pasta, an interesting conversation and sun is pretty much all it needs. If there is an ocean nearby you will probably have to meet me at the beach as I really love the sea :) In general, I am absolutely not complicated - I do not need a lot of luxery, do not have any topics you better not talk about or a lot of food I don't like (maybe except brussels sprouts).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I totally love meeting new people from different cultures and getting inspired by their stories. Travelling means to me not only to see new places but also to meet people and cultures I didn't know so far. And for me it's a honor to also host them as I know that I won't be able to visit all the countries I'd like - I like that they are visiting me as well :)

Interests

I am really passionate about cuban salsa - dancing as well as listening to the music as it reminds me a lot of the time when I lived in Cuba for several months (I am absolutely not professional yet, but it will always bring a smile to my face :)). Apart from that I started with Acro(batic)Yoga some months ago what I really enjoy :)
Furthermore, I like cooking and baking a lot (good reason to come visit me ;-) ) and I am really passioned about picnics, beautiful nature and relaxed days/evenings at some lake/river or - even better - at the seaside. Not to forget: I guess my greatest hobby are my friends and the good conversations that I use to have with them.

Music, Movies, and Books

My playlists are usually filled with music in spanish, mostly cuban (trova cubana, salsa), but also mexican (cumbia!), from Spain and a lot of other spanishspeaking countries. But I also do love pretty much any acoustic music, no matter in which language, and new music styles I didn't really know so far.

Concerning movies & series: I loved for example "Der Fall Collini" (The Collini case), "Yuli" and "Als Hitler das rosa Kaninchen stahl" (When Hitler stole pink rabbit). When it comes to series, I am always up for one (or more :D) episode of "Friends".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living and working in Cuba for 8 months and doing this, getting challenged to overthink a lot of my concepts of life, places and people completely.

Also, but already long ago: Travelling the Philippines for three months with an amazing team of 13 people that was becoming a family to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some German, when it's around Christmas, I can bake some typical german christmas cookies with you (I love them :)) or just give you a short neck/shoulder massage (only to girls :) - I am not professional, but friends are telling me that they are not too bad). If you like, I can also show you the basic salsa steps or cook some typical german dishes for you.
