About Me

I'm Marina and I am a hitchhiker by heart. I love to travel and to meet different people. I study art at the University of Brasilia and I am an English teacher. Vegan, and animal lover. People lover too. Just cool people lover, though.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet different people and cultures. Try new food too. And to improve self knowledge and comunitarism. With all that, I would say travelling is the thing I most treasure in the world, so I enjoy everything about it. Even the weird cultural shock we have sometimes.

Interests

I want to learn. And improve my self conscience. All of that while having a good time with a bottle of wine and exotic entertainments.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love brazilian musiiiic (and dancing too, like forró). Samba, MPB, rap, bossa nova, xote, everything. Though I like rap in general, some latin surf music and rock (especially british rock).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The last time we traveled, was on January. I went to Chapada Diamantina (BA- Brazil). There, we went to a little and beautiful small village named Capão. And in Capão we made a treck to a waterfall named Cachoeira da Fumaça. And it was the most incredible view EVER. The waterfall stands upon 370 meters above the floor. And we saw it from the top, barelly able to see the lake at the end. We also followed the river to it's "mouth" like we call it. And got deeply connected to that place. It was a beautiful, and overwhelming sensation.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can definetely teach one or two things about vegan cooking (not enough, I know, but that's the best i've got). And I can learn about that too. I can share my knowledge of a former artist and learn from anyone who can teach me anything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, a cozy house for once. Some native fun places to go, free entertainment options to hang in brasilia. And interesting books for louzy resting days hahah
