About Me

I'm a student in London. I come from a Lebanese-Ukrainian family, and travel has always been my passion. Growing up, my family moved from Lebanon to Ukraine and back quite often, so I'm used to always being on the road.
I enjoy meeting new people and embracing diversity, learning about other cultures, and sightseeing.
My favorite thing to do when I'm abroad is walking on foot, living the local life, eating local street food, and enjoying all what's possible about the city.
Next on my bucket list, I would like to enjoy some trekking and camping, when the weather gets a bit warmer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first heard about Couchsurfing from a fellow student traveler. I think CS is one of the best ways to travel: no one knows the city better than a local, and I feel like the cities where I've surfed are much more personal to me than the ones where I haven't. I believe that it is perfect for someone like me who enjoys blending into the local life.

Music, Movies, and Books

My absolute favourite book is Harry Potter. When I was younger, I enjoyed reading all kinds of stories, like detectives, fiction books, and so on..
Now, although I have less time to dedicate to it, I try to read when I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best things I've ever done was travelling 12 hours by train from the far Eastern Ukraine to the far Western Ukraine for a music festival, located in one of the small villages, surrounded by beautiful nature and the ruins of an ancient castle. While there, one of the funniest things was knocking on a door of a villager and asking whether they had any fresh milk for sale - after all, I've lived in busy cities all my life and fresh products are a rarity. I ended up meeting an amazing woman who showed me around the village and told me lots of local tales!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely show you some broke life tips, we could play guitar together, watch a movie, or visit a museum. We could also share some tea of a pint of beer in a typical English fashion :)
