ABOUT ME
I was born in Odessa, Ukraine, and moved to the US (Kansas) as a young child. I've lived in Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, and many other interesting and wonderful places.
I recently graduated from Drake University and spent the past year working for a non-profit in Minneapolis as a researcher. Currently, I'm in Simferopol, Ukraine, on the Fulbright program.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Anything beautiful...
Books: Gravity's Rainbow (just kidding!)
I actually don't read books all that much - more often than not newspapers and magazines. I like the The Atlantic Monthly, The New Republic, The New Yorker, online mags like Slate, the Daily Beast, etc..
Movies: Old Boy, The Double Life of Veronique, Kusturica's 'The Underground,' Requiem for a Dream, in so far as that's anyone's favorite movie...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked in the woods around St. Serge, Switzerland with my best friend and sat around talking, with a view of Mont Blonc and Lake Geneva in the background.
And ate cheese and chocolate, just to be stereotypical :) Nothing like a hike with chocolate breaks every 10 minutes or so.
Western Ukrainian Roma settlements...no words...
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you to figure skate - I skated fairly seriously from childhood throughout high school, so I show you anything from a spiral to a jump to a spin. I can even show you all of the idiotic things that hockey players do on the ice, such as spraying their friends with snow when they stop briskly (if that's what you would like to learn :).
Learn: About your country's cinema, particularly independent films, films concerning politics, etc.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Poland, Switzerland, Ukraine, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
Ukraine, United States
