About Me

Open-Minded, Vegan, Not Prude, Sarcastic, Caring.

Likes:
Dark sense of humor (even if it goes in conflict with what I describe as raw deals)
Exploring new dishes (Out of curiosity for someones skills/effort I sometimes do have a taste of something which is not vegan but I don't ever eat meat/poultry/fish)
Whiskey and Wine
Thriftshops and Fleamarkets
Creativity and DIY projects
Inline Skating
Thermal Baths and Sauna
Old Buildings and Castles

Dislikes: Spiders, Moths, Coffee, Tempeh, Raw Deals (Racism, Speciesism, Sexism, Waste, Human-trafficking, Slavery, Fast Fashion, just unfair treatment of almost any kind)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have not traveled much in my life. I went to Calella (Spain) with my aunt when I was 15, the flight towards Calella was the one and only flight I ever took in my life. A year later I went with my mom and brother to Trutnov and Kutnahora (Czech republic) We visited my moms friend once or twice in Hanover.

A few years back (maybe 4) I met a girl from Lille during Gay Pride in Amsterdam, she was traveling to Berlin and took a detour to stop at my place in Groningen. After her Weekend in Berlin she picked me up on the way back to come with her to Lille. I was so enthusiastic about crossing the border to Belgium and France, but she just laughed and told me it wasn't that special and there was not that much to see about the border it self :P Turned out she was right ;) But still I was so happy to finally go outside The Netherlands again and this time without family :)

Last year I moved in to a house with expats and there is a lot of people coming over and sleeping over from all parts of the world, I hear all the great traveling stories and I realise I don't have so many (also never felt the urge that much since I didn't grow up with it) I'm 30+ now, I feel like I've gotten to know myself a lot better in the past year and that it's time for me to finally spread my wings and explore more!

I really don't have much to spend, but it suits my lifestyle perfectly to try and do low-budget traveling like carpooling and couchsurfing. Who's gonna help me out? :D

Update: After living in Belgium for a year or so I need to rewrite my profile a bit. And also I feel like I'm ready for a new adventure :D
