Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been hosting a lot of people in my flat in Cracow and in Paris, though not through CS at that time (usually friends of friends, etc). In my last flat in Warsaw we were having many couchsurfers coming and our place was always busy. We also organized CS cooking event in our flat and it was really great.

I have just moved to the Hague lately so now I'm more looking forward to meeting new people living here as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience with CS was a trip to Barcelona and being hosted there by two amazing guys from Latin America, who - to my surprise - turned out to be in love with Poland and were even learning Polish language(!). Last summer I was hosted by another amazing guy in Jakarta and I'm so thankful to him and his family as they were first people I met on my trip to Indonesia and they were incredible, so kind and hospitable. So far I never had any bad experience with CS.

Zainteresowania

dancing: jazz dance, salsa, swing (and basically any kind of dance)

sport: running, swimming, windsurfing, skiing, horse riding, snorkling, krav maga

travels: I have two favorite ways of travelling: one is hitchhiking and second one is going somewhere for a longer time and trying to live there (for example going for internship, work, study, exchange, volunteering, etc.) to really get to know more about the culture and way of living in a particular country. "If you set out on a journey, let it be a long journey".

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Movies: Lost in Translation, Her, 12 Angry Men, The Artist, Intouchables, Into the Wild, Once, Godfather, Pulp Fiction, The Wicker Park, Imagine, Django, Les Amours Imaginaires, A Beautiful Mind, The Lion King, How To Train Your Dragon (two best cartoons ever!), old Polish movies and many many more!

Music: I love music. Jazz. I love listening to vinyls. However, I'm opened to all kinds of music. Simply, whatever works ;) Oh, and btw I'm a big fan of Woodstock festival!

Books: Whatever inspires me. Some of my favorite authors are Umberto Eco, Andrzej Sapkowski (fantasy, his well known series: the Witcher) and Ryszard Kapuściński (Polish traveler).

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

going to a tiny, too-beautiful-to-be-true island in Indonesia (Gili Trawangan), staying there for one week (even though we planned to stay 3 days) and living there like time never existed.

I can share about languages: Polish, English, French and about culture, sport, dancing.. :)

I'd like to learn playing the guitar, piano... also learning new languages.
