About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see beautiful places and make good memories. Maybe to write a book.

ABOUT ME

Hi everyone! I'm an outdoor educator and science teacher. I love literature, dancing, cooking, gardening, and anything involving the outdoors. I also love geology, so I get really excited about rocks and mountains! I'm gluten free (Celiac) and I do most of my own cooking. I'm a good cook (many friends will vouch for me), and if you host me, I will happily cook for you in return!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm interested in meeting people through couchsurfing and sharing life stories

Music, Movies, and Books

I love literature and would enjoy the chance to sit and chat about books. I enjoy both classics and contemporary fiction, as well as well-written nonfiction. Recent books I've enjoyed are The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao; Love in the Time of Cholera; Cloud Atlas; The Clockwork Universe; and The Sun Also Rises.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent six weeks on a sailing ship, hauling lines and navigating by the stars. The night watches were amazing: some nights it seemed there were more stars than sky, and the bioluminescence in the water made them seem reflected in the waves. One sunset I saw the green flash. That's something I'll never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to teach basic skills in wilderness survival, cooking, stargazing, photography, and playing guitar. I'm also happy to practice English with you!
