ABOUT ME
I was born in Siegen and went to school as well as uni there. During my studies I spent nine months in Australia. While travelling in Australia (and NZ) I had my first couchsurfing experiences...and really liked them! Quite a few other trips followed - couchsurfing always being the essential way to meet locals! After having worked for about one and a half years I am now back at uni...
PHILOSOPHY
"If we fail to act, those who will come after us will ask how it was that people who were so aware of the suffering and so capable of responding chose to look away." Hilary Benn
It's probably not a philosophy but an interesting perspective on life on earth...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
While traveling in various countries I had the chance to meet people from all over the world and couchsurfing made it easier to get into contact with locals. At home it is a pleasure to give other people the same opportunity. We have hosted friends as well as couchsurfers at our place, such a pleasure to have people over...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I joined the CS community during my stay in Australia and the first couch I surfed was in Christchurch, New Zealand. After that I slept on several couches and also hosted some people myself. I consider couchsurfing a great opportunity to get into contact with the people of a country and to learn more about their way of life. An awesome idea!
Interests
I like sports and usually do a lot of exercise...besides sports I love to meet my friends to have a coffee! I like listening to music although I am not a very educated person here:). And yeah, like probably all of you, I love travelling. I always have a weird feeling in my stomach when setting out to a new destination, but I guess that's just normal. Usually I end up not wanting to go home... but home is also a great place - and when I'm back I like being there!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking in Fjordland National Park, New Zealand: After a long and challenging climb up through a pretty dense forest I was rewarded with an absolutely stunning view on beautiful fjords and mountains!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach? Hmm, there's hopefully something I can teach you :)
Learn? Yeah, for sure! There are always things to learn - when traveling I want to broaden my horizon...culture, customs, traditions, language etc.
