I am a Master's Degree student in HSPUR (Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia), I'm studying Early Language Education and Intercultural Communication. I'm also currently working as an English teacher for children.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like traveling and meeting new people (I can see you, sarcastically asking the screen: "Really, do you?" :) )
Well, I'm not the most sociable person in the world. I mean, if I come to a party it is 99 % that I won't have a conversation with anyone. Not because I'm mean or arrogant, I guess it's just my special trait - I can't communicate properly in big unknown companies. Recently I've discovered that the best way of making new friends for me was talking to new people face-to-face. Well, couchsurfing is perfect for that.

Interests

Apart from studying (which IS my interest because I like studying), I do yoga. One of my favourite types of yoga is Aerial yoga, it's a perfect type for those people who dreamed of becoming acrobates :)
I also like cross stitching (just occasionally) and hand making (my last hand made thing is a kaleidoscope).
I like ballet but unfortunately I rarely go to theaters to watch it. Thanks god, YouTube has all kinds of things nowadays so I'm able to watch Rudolf Nureyev's Nutcracker right on my couch)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like listening to music but I'm not a music addict. My favourite bands are the 69 Eyes, the Reckless Love, HIM (yeah, still love them), Depeche Mode, the Doors, Louise Attaque etc.

I'm a big fan of all Marvel movies (X-men, Avengers etc). I also like French movies and TV-series (waiting desperately for the 6th season of Engrenages/Spiral), Scandinavian Noir (The Bridge in particular), detective movies and series (Sherlock, The Fall, Broadchurch), The X-Files etc.
I also like the Game of Thrones but I haven't watched it further then the 4th season because the plot came away too far from the books.

I like reading in general, so I don't have any preferred genre or style of writing. My favourite book is Anna Karenina (not trying to act smart, just being honest :)), most of the books by Tolstoi and Dostoevski, Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings, Azimov's stories, Lolita (this book gave me a weird feeling after I finished it so honestly I can't figure out if I like it or hate it) and lot's of other books!

I can move my nose as rabbits do. Does it count?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Russian (:)) or some English. Cook some Russian dishes (though I can't garantee they be good representatives of Russian cuisine in my version). I also like walking and can walk for hours without stopping so if you need a companion I can help :)
