About Me

About Me
Hi! I'm Marino, a passionate enthusiast of philosophical discussions, meeting new people, and making genuine friends. I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I'm always on the lookout for experiences that allow me to learn and grow.

What I Enjoy
Conversations: I love discussing deep ideas and exploring different perspectives on life, the universe, and everything in between. I'm always up for a good conversation that makes me think and reflect.
Meeting New People: I believe everyone has a unique story to tell. I enjoy listening to and learning from others' experiences as it enriches my own view of the world.

Update June 14th

I have a 13-year-old daughter who is the light of my life. We are organizing a trip together to visit family in San Francisco, and we would also love to see her favorite artist on July 31 in Pennsylvania. After that, we'll go to New York until August 8 before heading back home. I hope we can stay with some friendly hosts who can tell us a little about the city and its culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Making Friends: For me, Couchsurfing is more than just a place to find accommodation; it's a platform to create genuine connections. I greatly value interpersonal relationships and enjoy the company of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Interests

Besides philosophy and interpersonal relationships, I'm interested in literature, music, and travel. I love discovering new books, listening to different styles of music, and of course, traveling whenever I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a tough one, there''s so many! I will just mention some that I recall. now:
Movies: Paris Texas, Mulholland drive, The Godfather, Citizen Kane and many more.

Books: I'm reading some sociology author now like Weber, Pierce, Fucoult, etc.

David Bowie, Tame Impala, The Weeknd, The Dø, INXS, Air, Hot Chip, Massive Attack, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fishbone, as well as local music. I'm very open to different music tastes in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is participate in local films as both an editor and an actor. Working behind the scenes, I’ve honed my skills in film editing, bringing stories to life through careful cutting and creative decisions. On the other side of the camera, I've enjoyed the thrill of acting, immersing myself in diverse roles and collaborating with talented individuals in the industry.

Additionally, I have worked as a voice actor, lending my voice to various projects. This experience has allowed me to explore different characters and narratives, adding another layer to my passion for storytelling.

These experiences have not only been fulfilling but have also provided me with unique insights into the world of filmmaking and broadcasting. I’m excited to share these stories and experiences with my hosts, and perhaps even show some of the projects I've been involved in.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm eager to learn about the local culture, traditions, and unique aspects of each place I visit. I'm also interested in picking up new languages and exploring different artistic techniques. Moreover, I'm keen on learning about different approaches to fitness and exercise routines.

I enjoy sharing my experiences in film editing and acting, discussing the creative process behind audiovisual projects. I'm also passionate about discussing nutrition and fitness, sharing insights on how to integrate healthy habits into daily life. Additionally, I'm open to sharing music and film recommendations, as I have a broad taste in both mediums.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I love sharing my culture and personal stories with my hosts. Being from Argentina, I bring with me a rich cultural heritage that I'm excited to share with you.

I can introduce you to the world of Argentine asados, our traditional barbecues. I would be delighted to share recipes and tips for making a delicious asado, and perhaps even cook one for you if we have the opportunity.

Soccer is more than just a sport in Argentina; it's a passion. I enjoy talking about our soccer culture, famous players, and memorable matches. Watching a game together would be a great way to share this enthusiasm and explain why it means so much to us.

Beyond these cultural elements, I have many personal anecdotes and stories from my life in Argentina. I enjoy engaging in deep conversations and sharing experiences that have shaped who I am.

I look forward to sharing my culture and stories with you, and learning about yours in return!
