About Me
CURRENT MISSION
They say strike while the iron is hot. Since I am studying here in Italy, I am on a mission to travel around Europe. Hopefully, I will be able to do it during my stay. Next, the world. Then, the space (I wonder if I can still use couchsurfing for this).
ABOUT ME
Talking about myself is the most difficult task here. So, let's start with the basics. The best way to know me is through interaction.
I am a PhD student in Ghent, Belgium. I am taking up Psychology. My background is in Cognitive Neuroscience.
I love exploring places and meeting people. Though I'm not of an extrovert, outgoing type of person. I like keeping an intimate number of friends.
I consider life as one hell of a trip. It will take you anywhere, whether you like it or not.
I'm talking too much nonsense here now. Just meet and hang out with me.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live - It is only through accepting differences that we become inclusive. Believe me, it's distressing to see someone being excluded. Even your Insula and Anterior Cingulate Cortex can attest to that!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am just hoping I will gain a pleasant and memorable couchsurfing experience.
Interests
No matter how cliche this may sound, I am interested in meeting new people and seeing new places. I guess it's the awe of discovering something novel that drives people to set foot on foreign land.
Since creativity can't be contained, I am interested in all forms of artistic expressions. I find photography the most interesting of all. I also write. It's my way of releasing pent-up feelings (catharsis, for psychologists). Now that I'm immersing myself to the field, my technical writing is dominant. Creative writing has taken the background. But I still manage to exercise that other side of my brain.
As a scientist/student, I am interested in Social Sciences, especially Psychology. However, I am taking a side trip in the area of Social Neuroscience. And no. I don't consider myself as a nerd. They are smart kids. I'm not. ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
I am quite discriminating with movies. Independent films captivate my eyes and heart most of the time. But I watch mainstream flicks as well. I prefer biographical movies in general.
I have a strange practice of not finishing my books (don't ask me why ;) ). But If I borrowed it somewhere, I read from cover to cover. I am into novels. The Perks of Being a Wallflower and P. Coelho's masterpieces are my faves. Being also a creative writer, I love Filipino literateur, especially of short stories and flash fictions.
Music plays an important role in my life. Amidst the craziness of this world, I find solace to it. Popular music takes the lion's share of my playlist.
