I was 22 when I signed up on Couchsurfing and this quote from Anthony Bourdain was just perfect: “If you’re twenty-two, physically fit, hungry to learn and be better, I urge you to travel – as far and as widely as possible. Sleep on floors if you have to. Find out how other people live and eat and cook. Learn from them – wherever you go.”

Well this quote could not be more relevant even 3 years after. I haven't travelled much since then as I was finishing my studies but now I am done with school - at least for now..!- and I am more than ever eager to travel and meet people from everywhere!

Describing myself is not an easy exercise but I'd say that I'm an adaptable, open-minded, curious and friendly traveler. I'm most of the time a solo traveler and I like meeting new people on my road, having a laugh with them and listening to their stories.

In my opinion, a place can be fully explored by getting to know people who live there. I think that sharing their daily life is the best way to be truly immersed in their culture and really understand it. And Couchsurfing is precisely an amazing tool to meet people all over the world, to open our horizon and to be more tolerant. I also find that the concept of opening our door to total strangers is a wonderful demonstration of humankind and solidarity - even more important nowadays.

Climbing Kilimanjaro was definitely the most amazing thing I've done and one of the most wonderful moments of my life.

I can share experience and stories about my country, and I can teach some French. I can assist with cooking (especially for cakes!) and I can help around the house. We can talk about everything, even things I don't know as I like learning new things, and we can play board games. And, as mentioned, I haven't travelled a lot so far, but I'd be happy to tell you more about the countries I visited!
