Overview
About Me
Hey! I'm Marion! I'm a positive, fun-loving young adult who's trying to create the best version of myself. My friends say I'm a great cook, and I'm passionate about breakfast food. I love plants, being outdoors, and making new friends. Just trying to form beautiful relationships while seeing the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing because a few of my friends have highly recommended it. Traveling alone can be so interesting but also a little intimidating. What better way to meet new folks, and really get to know a place. While living in Argentina, I stayed with a host family, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Couchsurfing is such a great way to connect with people and see how other places live!
Interests
My interests include gardening/urban farming, outdoor block parties and festivals, farmer's markets, face painting, cooking and baking, cats, great beer, all food really but especially breakfast, yoga, naps, traveling, paddle boarding, coffee shops, hiking, being outside as much as possible, leisurely bike rides, swimming in the ocean, camping, dancing, taking walks while discussing dreams, sharing music, sitting by a fire. I enjoy meaningful conversations over coffee and tea, discussing what people love and why. I appreciate and revel in the slow life, taking it all in, and being mindful.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- Anything with the trumpet really does something to me! I'm open to and enjoy all genres, but most of my spotify is a combo of majority folk-y kind of music, indie-pop and jazz, as well as some slower hip hop.
Movies- I really love animated movies- absolute sucker for Pixar. But also enjoy documentaries, sci-fi, rom-coms, lame-but-in-a-hilarious-way comedies, etc. I rarely don't like movies.
Books- Modern Romance, 1984, Into the Wild, East of Eden, Harry Potter (of course). (I think that captures my gamut of reading enjoyment, but is in no way a comprehensive list)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I've done.. I co-managed a tropical flower farm for 2 weeks while the owners were out of the country. So my co-manager and I had to plan out the daily tasks for everyone to keep up the farm as well as approve the quality of flowers that were sent out to customers each day. We kept someone else's business running smoothly for half a month. It was a lot of work, but one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach- I could teach you how to make New Orleans food! I also lived on a farm for quite some time and could help with various gardening, plant, and animal upkeep.
Learn- I'd love to practice Spanish with hosts. I'm also a quick learner willing to learn almost anything you're good at! Specially interested in surfing, pole fitness, rock climbing, carpentry, and beer brewing!
Share- I would gladly cook for my hosts, sharing traditional New Orleans cuisine and putting love in every bite! I also love face painting, if the need for that arises during my stay (i.e. themed parties, parades, block parties).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my positivity! and my conversation. I can also share meals and various life stories. I'm a great listener, and have a knack for reading a situation- being mindful of the space I'm in. I am tidy and helpful. And I would love to share my New Orleans culture with future hosts.
