About Me

I try to enjoy life to the full and love spending time with my friends.
I like to get lost in new places and discover new ways of living, cultures (I studied anthropology), new architectures, landscapes, and meet new people! When I travel, I like to take time to get a feel of the place, and avoid rushing between the main touristic attractions. I prefer walking, losing myself in small streets, meeting people, getting a feel the atmosphere, the daily life, tasting everything…

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best traveling memories are of my stays with the local people I met abroad. Sharing their daily life was the best way to discover their country and culture. It is the best way to create deep relationships and understanding between people, to have fun and make new friends!
I took part in several international programs, work camps (South France, Morocco, Thailand, Vietnam, India…), it was a wonderful experience for me to work and help communities all together with local people and foreigners. One of my favourite experience was when we stayed in an Akha tribe village near the border between Thailand and Laos.

During all my travels abroad I was lucky to make new friends that I have since stayed in touch with and continue to visit regularly. It’s a real pleasure to show them around Paris when they come and visit or to meet in different location and explore the world together.

Interests

I like TRAVELING (especially in Asia !) !!! Discovering new places, new cultures, new people.
I like sharing time with my friends, contemplating nature, walking in the countryside as in cities, visiting arts exhibitions (Art Brut, Chaissac, Brancusi, Calder, Klee, Gauguin, Matisse, Alechinsky…), creating ceramics, doing collages, dancing, eating (discovering new flavours !), listening music, reading, going to cinema… I like to go to concerts, theatre, museums, to see contemporary dance, doing camping in nature. I try to practice mindfulness since I went to the Plum Village (Thich Nhat Hanh)
I am also really interested in education, positive education and active pedagogies as Montessori, Freinet… I belong to IPEM (pédagogie Freinet). I went to visit Montessori schools in Finland, Thailand and Bali (The Green School).

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite TV program is « Nus et culottés » a french program where you follow 2 young guys traveling without any clothes (at the beginning only!!!) and no money, just to meet people, sharing a moment with them and realise their dreams. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Difficult to choose !!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn new things but most importantly I like to share knowledge...
I like to share my experience as a teacher, I am very passionate about my job and how teaching (positive education, active pedagogy) can enrich people’s lives. I am also taking part in a project with a local urban organic farm (near my flat closed to Paris) and enjoy sharing this experience (Jardin d’agronomie tropicale Paris – association V’île Fertile).
