Overview
About Me
I am an 21-year-old french girl who grew up in Dijon, FRANCE, but I am currently completing my bachelor's degree in translation and international relations in Lyon, FRANCE. I have travelled quite a lot during my studies. I lived in New Zealand for a little while and have now decided to settle in Hamburg, Germany.
I am always eager to learn about new cultures. I speak english fluently, and have an intermediate level in German. I have learned a little bit of spanish a few years ago, and I have been learning French Sign Language for 2 years. I have also learned the basis of Mandarin and hope to practice it as much as possible to improve my level !
I am really easy-going, and I like to look at the bright side of every situation, no matter how bad it looks. I love to have a good laugh, and I try to be smiling all the time.
I love to have my flat always tidy and clean. I am quite a good cook, and I am also pretty good at baking, so it would be a pleasure to cook for my host.
I have always dreamed to visit Laos and Cambodia which cultures I find fascinating.
I like to party, but I also enjoy a quiet evening chatting with friends. I am really flexible, and adapt easily to any kind of situation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing because I want to travel the world, and meet friends all over the planet. Couchsurfing is a way to discover and get to know an other culture, but also to share my own. I like the fact that people are open-minded and eager to learn about the rest of the world.
Plus, I am thrilled by the idea of backpacking, and end up at someone's I would never have met without couchsurfing. I think the world has so much to offer, and one way to get access to it, is through couchsurfers.
Interests
I have played the flute for 12 years, but I had to stop to focus on my studies. I have practised gymnastic for 3 years when I was in high school, and was part of the volley ball team.
Now that I am studying at university, I don't have much time left to do sport, but I try to go swimming as often as possible.
I love to go sightseeing, and to go to museums.
I don't have pets, but I can get along with them, I am a little bit afraid of big dogs though.
I am allergic to grape fruits, but appart from that, I love tasting new food.
When I have some free time, and am too lazy to do anything outside, I like to knit.
I do volunteering for an association called "AFEV" that helps disadvanted children to go through with their studies, and to go visit the city.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a lot of different types of music, I love rock, pop, electro, and some rap and reggae music, I also like classical music. I am into Parov Stelar, and Caravan Palace, but also La Rue Ketanou and Agnes Obel. The list would be too long, so long story short, I listen to all kind of musics, and i like discovering new bands or singers.
I read quite a lot, mostly novels, in French, or in English. I read a lot of J.K. Rowling, because I have been a fan of Harry Potter since I was a little girl.
I watch quite a lot of movies as well, but I can't stand horror movies or thrillers, for I get scared very, very easily watching that type of films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once, I had spent the day doing Via Ferrata (sort of climbing a mountain) and at the end, I was offered the opportunity to take a ride on a kind of big swing that was 30 m high between two cliffs. I was the first one to jump, and even though it really scary, it was an amazing moment. And I am kind of proud of having been the first one to jump.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach my host how to cook, and how to bake, because I love to do those thing, and I think I am not bad at it. I can also teach some French if the person is interested. I can teach how to knit.
I would love to learn Italian, for my mom is Italian and has never taught me the language.
I would be more than happy to share my culture with other couchsurfers.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Since I like to go sightseeing, I have seen quite a lot of my city, so I could share the historical stories that make my this city an amazing city. I could also share my travel stories since I have been to a few countries already.
Also, I could share my happiness and positive attitude, which I consider the basis of a happy life. My closest friends are currently living all over the planet, in Canada, Austria, Ireland, and so on... So, they share their experiences with me, and tell me the dos and don'ts in their countries, I could share that too with other couchsurfers.
