About Me
UPDATE: I got injured while playing football and I won't be available for a while.
I was born in Barcelona, which has a certain impact on my personality. I believe we can easily connect with people all over the world but each of us has something special, something that comes from our culture. That is why travelling is so interesting for me, you get to discover many different ways of living and very different perspectives from where to read our reality.
I studied Catalan literature at the university. I did so because I love reading and everything behind an artistic expression (I am also interested on music, cinema and arts in general). I have a high interest on cultural minorities as well. I also studied contemporany philosophy which means I am always keen for a deep conversation about us as humans and how we manage to live our lifes. I am interested in politics, so I like to travel to countries where the political situation is challenging.
After 10 years working as a publisher (fiction and non-fiction books), I felt I needed a little bit more of human contact, so I decided to become languange and literature teacher in high school.
In my free time I play football. I also like running, hiking and sports in general. When I travel I like to explore the city on foot, I normally like to get lost in the non touristy areas.
I am flexible and easy going and love to talk pour le pur plaisir, so I am normally very happy with simple things and nice conversations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I try to experience slow travel when I'm around and Couchsurfing is one perfect way of doing it. It gives you the opportunity of meeting local people and learn from them.
