About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I can't tell you, it's a secret...

ABOUT ME

I'm 28 year old girl from Girona, a beautiful small city in the northern east part of Catalonia. Girona is such a charming place and we, people from Girona, are known to love our city so much, but as more people come to visit it, they prove us right.
I've been living in Barcelona for the past 9 years or so because I was attending Medical School, and graduated 3 years ago. It took me a while to adjust to Barcelona, since it's way bigger city than my hometown, but now I love it!!! There's always many interesting things going on! You can't never get bored there!

I'm working as a General Practitioner in Barcelona (on my second year of residency program), and decided to come work in rural Scotland for 2 weeks. But since it's my first time ever in this country, I decided to come a little bit earlier and travel around.

I am outgoing, talkative, enthusiastic, cheerful and quite active person. Some times my friends would ask me how I have such energy, but I guess that when you are enjoying what you are doing you don't lack energy... At least in my case... :)
I always try to look for the good in people and things. Some times it's tricky to find the positive side of things, but I came to the conclusion that it's always possible to get something good even from bad things.

PHILOSOPHY

Take a sad song and make it better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I found out about Couchsurfing a long time ago but didn't join it just until 4 years ago. Unfortunatelly I haven't had the opportunity to be as involved as I would have liked, but since I started interacting more with couchsurfers, I discovered that here there's such a beautiful group of nice people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Regarding SURFING: February of 2014, I was traveling around the East Coast of US and had really amazing hosts. It was my first time ever doing Couchsurfing and I had the best of the best experiences with my hosts.

Regarding HOSTING: I've only had the opportunity to host friends of friends from different countries around the world (so not really couchsurfing, but still similar) and it has been always such an incredibly nice experience. I love to meet new people and learn about their culture. I think this is the best way to enrich our lives. And I think it's so much fun. I love when they would cook traditional foods from their country for us, it's always nice to get to taste new foods.

Interests

I love nature and doing outdoors activities. I specially enjoy hiking in the Pyrenees (but that doesn't happen that often since they are 2 hours away from my city), but instead I enjoy walking my dogs in the forest when I'm at my hometown. I need being in contact with nature in a regular basis to be happy, I guess.
I love theatre and performing. I'm at the amateur theatre group of Medical School at University of Barcelona (where I studied and recently graduated). The best part of it all, is that we've become like a family, so we have always such a great time while rehearsing or performing.
I'm looking forward to discover new places through couchsurfing, which I think will be the best way to get to discover the places I visit and also getting to know new people and their culture. I don't like doing the things all tourists do, I want to enjoy the things locals enjoy.

This past Summer I did a beginners course on Swing dance and I loved it so much. I'm looking forward to learning more!

I like photography too, I enjoy taking pictures of almost everything. I started a a blog a few years ago which mix two things I love. Photography and finding the positive side on things (the ordinary things or even the negatives ones). Doing this blog has helped me find more joy in every day's little things that other way we would most time don't even notice.
